This XPS 13.4 inch 3K touch laptop stands out for its premium feel, sharp display, and strong everyday performance, with the 16GB version described as a favorite computer and the deal price dropping further with My Best Buy Plus. Battery life is the main tradeoff, with a 52Wh pack that may not match the advertised endurance despite some reviewer claims of nearly 30 hours. The bigger issue is a repeated configuration mismatch, where orders and shipments often changed from 16GB to 8GB. A solid value if the correct spec arrives, but the order details need close checking.

  • My Best Buy Plus pricing reportedly added an extra $100 discount on top of an initial My Best Buy offer.

  • A store manager reportedly enabled a price adjustment for the 16GB model after an order spec issue.

  • The 16GB configuration has been described as a favorite computer with strong overall performance despite battery life concerns.

  • A 16GB configuration at an effective $599 price has been described as a great deal when the discount setup works.

  • Orders reportedly shipped or updated to the 8GB RAM configuration even when 16GB was shown in confirmations.

  • Battery performance has been questioned based on the stated 52Wh battery capacity and real-world expectations.

  • Best Buy support reportedly attributed the configuration mismatch to customer error and changed order history/product description to show 8GB.

  • Storage expansion is not available, which limits upgrade options after purchase.

Seriously, how is this legal? A company cannot change your order without your consent. They can cancel it, but they cannot just change the order and ship you a lesser product. This is a bait and switch and completely illegal and highly unethical. This looks really bad for Best Buy and I'm sure they'll lose some customers over this.
I work for a big tech company and this is completely legal as long they correct the error which they did. If the system had a glitch they are allowed to correct the issue. What's illegal is not accepting the return if its within the policy. Let's also be honest that many people here knew it was a possible mistake because it was too good to be true. They were trying to get advantage of a system error.

I purchased one, but I'm expecting either the order will get canceled, or they'll ship the 8gb version. We'll see 🤞
It shipped 8gb for me.

So the 8gb model arrived today. I called to complain and after a long wait got someone who apologized and agreed to send me the 16gb ram version. She asked that I return the original to Best Buy. I was very polite but insisted i have no interest in the 8gb version. An hour later I got a new 0 dollar order confirmation for the 8gb version. lol.

It is too good to be true, this laptop just got released and we all know or most of us know the current situation with ddrs, we all know it takes some time after released for a product to go down in price. My point is that everyone here knew it was a possibility they weren't getting the 16gb. Kudos to the people recognizing this and willing to return it politely.

Amazing the people who will defend a vendor who made a price mistake, but then decided to eh, just change the order with no notice and ship a lesser system. This is a consumer website, do you really think folks deserve that kind of treatment without the company reaching out about THEIR mistake? Someone commented the BB csr said it was "customer mistake" for crying out loud, how??

I work for the Inter Galactic Vogon Arbitration Council and my High Chancellor (her excellency) said you are full of bullshit. She says taking your argument ad absurdum, they could have charged your credit card a much higher price without notice, after all in their system invisible to you that was the correct price.

It took some convincing, but the store manager was able to do a price adjustment on the 16gb model for me.

The manager was the rudest person at my store. Didn't honor the price. Had to return.

Once the guy looked into the order, he was able to see the weird change in spec from my original purchase. He then had to email corporate for approval on the price adjustment. That said now I'm looking at that ASUS for inch laptop for a similar price but better specs and I'd like ASUS better than DELL.
