This XPS 13.4 inch 3K touch laptop stands out for its premium feel, sharp display, and strong everyday performance, with the 16GB version described as a favorite computer and the deal price dropping further with My Best Buy Plus. Battery life is the main tradeoff, with a 52Wh pack that may not match the advertised endurance despite some reviewer claims of nearly 30 hours. The bigger issue is a repeated configuration mismatch, where orders and shipments often changed from 16GB to 8GB. A solid value if the correct spec arrives, but the order details need close checking.

  • My Best Buy Plus pricing reportedly added an extra $100 discount on top of an initial My Best Buy offer.

  • A store manager reportedly enabled a price adjustment for the 16GB model after an order spec issue.

  • The 16GB configuration has been described as a favorite computer with strong overall performance despite battery life concerns.

  • A 16GB configuration at an effective $599 price has been described as a great deal when the discount setup works.

  • Orders reportedly shipped or updated to the 8GB RAM configuration even when 16GB was shown in confirmations.

  • Battery performance has been questioned based on the stated 52Wh battery capacity and real-world expectations.

  • Best Buy support reportedly attributed the configuration mismatch to customer error and changed order history/product description to show 8GB.

  • Storage expansion is not available, which limits upgrade options after purchase.

I chatted online. Escalation was able to see the issue, but not resolve it. Went into the store, they were able to see my email as evidence, and were equally surprised that BBY shipped it with no notification/request to keep the order, but unable to assist. Said it would go against their store metrics to do the return there. They directed me to the 800 number. I don't think it's worth the hassle for a $200 savings, so I'll probably open it and return it to BBY and get my money back. Very annoyed at the whole experience. BBY's mistake, that they won't honor, and now I have to spend hours trying to get resolved with no guarantees that I will. If they had cancelled the order, I could understand. But switching the product I agreed to pay for with one of significantly lower value and hoping I didn't notice is scummy.

I got a confirmation email saying 8GB and didn't realize it until after opening it and booting it up. I took it back to the store, and they weren't able to do a one-for-one exchange, but I simply explained the situation to the manager, and she adjusted the price of the 16 GB to the lowest price it would allow, which was $670. I can also return the $30 membership now. So not quite $630, but still a pretty slick deal.

I work for a big tech company and this is completely legal as long they correct the error which they did. If the system had a glitch they are allowed to correct the issue. What's illegal is not accepting the return if its within the policy. Let's also be honest that many people here knew it was a possible mistake because it was too good to be true. They were trying to get advantage of a system error.
Actually common law treats you offering to purchase as the offer that they don't have to accept. Folks here offered that price to best buy for the 16gb unit. Once best buy accepted the offer they are contractually bound to it.

If there's an issue with their system their time to figure that out is before they accept your offer. Once accepted it's binding.

So if they mispriced it they don't have to sell it at that price but once they accept your money they are bound.
