This 5/8 inch by 100 foot Flexon hose is a budget-friendly long hose that feels closer to a traditional rubber hose than a flimsy vinyl one. The brass couplings, rotating male end, lifetime warranty, and made in the USA labeling stand out, and it has been used on hose carts with minimal kinking. The main caveats are that the black hose can heat water in sun, it is not drinking-water safe, and the contractor grade label feels generous to some. It is a solid value if you want a long hose without paying premium rubber prices.
The fittings can include a rotating male end and all brass couplings for easier connection handling.
The hose can be backed by a Flexon lifetime warranty for long-term coverage.
The hose can work well on a four wheeled hose cart with minimal kinking during use.
The hose can be useful as a backup because repair parts can cost nearly as much as the hose itself.
The black hose can heat up the water quickly in Arizona sun if it sits outdoors.
The hose is not drinking-water safe, so it cannot be used for potable water applications.
The 300 psi burst rating can be considered fairly low, which may conflict with the contractor-grade claim.
The hose can feel stiff and hard to handle, which may reduce comfort during everyday use.

I picked up 2 at my local HD. Online said there were 9 available when I checcked. 4 available after I left.
The pictures on the listing looked like silver fittings, but the ones I have are brass.

*In person once I checked them out, they don't feel any different than any other "heavy duty" hose. They purposely color it black to make it look like the rubber hoses, but its nothing like that. At $10 thats a good deal. I had to get them at $20 because a guy bought out all the HD in the local area within a 15 mile radius.
They had a pallet in an area near the garden center checkout. It wasn't in the aisle and bay that it said on the app. So try poking around.

I just bought 3 of them from him. He had 50 in his van. He was cleaning out all of them so even 10 at each x5 HD's just like that we have to pay double.
