Just got the Moto G and tablet today. The tablet has what looks like a SIM card taped to it, but the phone doesn't. I assume it must be inside the box or perhaps they use an ESIM. I really don't need to use the phone, I'm wondering if I just leave it alone and don't activate it, can I keep it as a backup device and activate in a few months or something? I figure if my main phone gets lost or suddenly stops working I can just activate this one and get by for a little bit so I don't have to scramble to replace it.
as mentioned earlier only sim was taped to tablet so i installed it in tablet. setup both phone and tablet, and activated online.
phone got signal. nothing on tablet (which keeps asking to add esim from verizon, not sure if its one we paid for or trying to add another plan, so didnt add it)

I didn't activate the A11+. I inserted my T-Mobile voice sim and it works. I got 5G data. Speed is over 200Mbps down. I also change CSC from TracFone (TFN) to XAA. No bloatwares.
