Almost 50 hours on this game, and still only have half the achievements. I'm not a very good gamer, but I did enjoy this game. Only took me 72 hours to 100 percent Lego The Lord of the Rings. That one is still my favorite. Any Lego game less than $5 is an auto-buy for me.

So the third film of the series is not even in the game? Sounds like a poor adaptation of a poor movie series, that's not even finished. I normally like the LEGO series of games but this is a pass for me

Nope, if you play through the story it ends on a cliffhanger. Which was supposed to have DLC to finish it off (because of course they would instead of doing the whole story with one price)... but the developer basically said "Yeah we don't think we'll be doing that" and you basically end with the way it ended after the 2nd movie, Smaug flies off (if memory serves) and "to be continued..."

One of the few LEGO games I haven't started with the family... though maybe a reason to get around to my XBOX 360 repair.

what do you mean the whole story one price? All of the lego games are like that. Each movie gets its own game.

Not sure what Lego video games you've been playing, but the truth is the exact opposite of that.

Lego Lord of the Rings was all 3 movies in one
Lego Pirates of the Caribbean was 4 movies
Lego Star Wars, had 3 games initially based off each 3 movie trilogy, and others ones that popped up that involve even more movies, with the Skywalker Saga having all 9 movies in ONE game.
Lego Harry Potter did 2 games, each based off 4 movies, 1-4 and 5-7a/b respectively.
Lego Jurassic was based on 4 movies
Lego Indiana Jones was based off the first 3 movies, then the sequel they did first 4 movies
etc.

Thanks for letting me know that LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean was a thing. Thankfully Half Price Books appears to be selling copies for reasonable prices...

All those franchise makes me wonder why no Lego Star Trek or Stargate. I feel a little robbed to TBH. Especially Stargate seems like that would be the perfect semi open world based around a central hub (SG Command). Wouldn't even feel forced like in the Star Wars games.

*that being said....I doubt too many kids are demanding either of these series Wink

Couldn't say why some franchises were chosen or not, my guess is whatever licensing LEGO had could translate over the video games then some bean counter at the game studio decides which ones will be profitable. LEGO only recently had anything of Star Trek, and they've never had Stargate. I agree those would both be fun, but I think Stargate's fan base is rather small in comparison to say Star Wars (or Star Trek for that matter) which is why you've never seen anything as such.
