Community Reviews
LEGO The Hobbit is a solid LEGO action game with long completion time and the usual family friendly charm. The campaign can run dozens of hours, and the achievements and collectibles give it plenty to chew on. The big drawback is that the story stops after the second film, ending on a cliffhanger with the third film missing and no promised DLC follow up. That makes it feel unfinished, even if the core game is still enjoyable.
Players who want a familiar LEGO adaptation of the first two films, because the story follows those movies and keeps the usual LEGO humor and structure.
Families looking for a co-op LEGO game to play together, because it fits the series' usual shared-play format.
LEGO game fans chasing a long completion run, because the campaign can take dozens of hours and still leave half the achievements unfinished.
Players who want the full story of the trilogy, because the game stops after the second film and ends on a cliffhanger.
Fans who dislike unfinished campaigns, because the missing third film leaves the story unresolved.
Readers hoping for a book-faithful adaptation, because the game is built around the movies instead of the novel.
