LEGO The Hobbit is a solid LEGO action game with long completion time and the usual family friendly charm. The campaign can run dozens of hours, and the achievements and collectibles give it plenty to chew on. The big drawback is that the story stops after the second film, ending on a cliffhanger with the third film missing and no promised DLC follow up. That makes it feel unfinished, even if the core game is still enjoyable.
Common Questions (3)
No. The story ends on a cliffhanger after the second movie, with Smaug flying off and a "to be continued" ending; the planned DLC to finish it was reportedly never pursued.
It is a solid LEGO game and under-$5 pricing is treated as an auto-buy by some players. One player logged nearly 50 hours and still had only half the achievements, so there is plenty of playtime if you enjoy completionism.
Loaded was mentioned at $2.09 for the PC CD key, which is lower than the $3.99 Steam deal. That makes it worth comparing if you are shopping purely on price.
