LEGO The Hobbit is a solid LEGO action game with long completion time and the usual family friendly charm. The campaign can run dozens of hours, and the achievements and collectibles give it plenty to chew on. The big drawback is that the story stops after the second film, ending on a cliffhanger with the third film missing and no promised DLC follow up. That makes it feel unfinished, even if the core game is still enjoyable.
The game can still provide enjoyable LEGO gameplay even after long sessions.
The story progression reportedly offers a substantial playtime before completion.
The game is described as a great LEGO game by at least one comment.
The DLC situation may be less important for players who only want the main LEGO story experience.
The story reportedly ends on a cliffhanger after the second movie without completing the arc.
The third film reportedly is not included in the game, which can make the adaptation feel incomplete.
The developer reportedly did not pursue DLC to finish the cliffhanger ending.
The game reportedly has only about half the achievements after roughly 50 hours of play.
