I bought this on Monday. Received yesterday and set it up with my Samsung S90C 65 inch TV last night. I was using a full stereo system with my TV that included a base model Pioneer Amp, 2 20 year old JBL bookshelf speakers, an AR center channel and a 150 W Infinity sub. Now that set up sounded very good, but it was complex to manage (had an old Logitech universal remote), dialog was washed over in many movies, and it took up a LOT of space. It also sat on the floor when the TV was mounted on the wall.
The sound from the soundbar mounted right under my TV, along with the Q+ Symphony feature is very good. Dialog is much more front and center. More clear and easy to understand. After a bit of adjustment, the surround is good. I haven't watched much yet but Hail Mary was good - loud, clear, seemed immersive, and seemed to be coming from the TV. We will see over the next week how I feel
The component system sounded deeper with better base (though that little sub that comes with the Samsung is not bad at all), But the Infinity would rock the neighborhood. For music, and scenes with a strong soundtrack, the component system beats it, as I expected. For action scenes it is the same. But the Q800F is not bad at all - better than most soundbars for sure
The reduction in space taken, simplification, and integration with my TV make the Q800F worth it to me. We mostly watch streaming shows and Sports so the small loss in depth and instrument separation for Music is acceptable.

I'm thinking about buying this one myself. Does this sound bar have a companion app? And can you raise the center dialogue channel volume separately instead of messing with the eq?

It does have a companion app and you can raise or lower the center channel, sub, and sides. Even with just the remote. It is very flexible

Thanks for the input. Ended up buying it myself. Should get it in a few days. Now that you've been able to spend some time with it you still impressed by it?
