I didn't downvote, and it seemed to get thumbs up in previous deals with no big complaints about the product itself, but its not a "great" deal since it's $56 with shipping.

Optimum at costco last time I got it was 80 servings (5.64 pound bag) for $53.99 a bag shipped. Sure, that was a few months ago in January, but even if it goes up to $60 when its on sale again any day now, its still a better deal at that price for 80 servings than this at 64 servings. 16 extra servings for a few dollars' difference.

It's a perfectly ok deal if you're out and need it, but I wouldn't personally jump on this either as some great deal. Optimum also has isolate first and this is concentrate first, so Optimum is better quality protein probably. And lower cal, fat, sat fat, sodium, cholesterol, etc., if that matters to you, for the same 24g protein.

I didn't downvote it either, but checking in on a random supplement company website and not finding anything even claiming they do 3rd party testing is typically a no go for me. That and i've worked in a supplement warehouse before and realize these type of "sales" tend to happen for a lot less random reason then people just assume. Typically translating in to either nearing end of shelf life stock, or product that ended up in a questionable storage situation you'd prefer to dump asap then take a chance on.

Agree, don't know much about this brand, and something like Optimum has been well-tested for years. This is not a horrible money deal but can get a more name brand for the same price. 2.5g of sat fat, the bad kind of fat, in milk powder is quite a bit. A lof of the macros are YMMV and your goals though.

And to be fair, Costco discounts all their brands (Optimum, Ascent, etc) 1-2 times a year. Its more of a get you into the store to buy other stuff than bad stock. The dates on the bags are always quite far out. For a solely supplement site, yeh, I agree. Or it was overpriced to begin with and a "sale" is really the market value- like Myprotein which is always on sale somehow (it was just overpriced full price to make it look like a good deal).
