I have some (also knockoff) Sportsman's Guide pretend jerry cans that look alarmingly like this however they really expand and contract with heat if left closed (full or empty) to causes creases on the can. I assume too thin gauge metal and complete lack of any kind of relief...I guess that also means the welds and gaskets are decent since pressure / negative pressure can't escape....so that is a plus.

Surprisingly neither has leaked on me with all of the flexing but wondering if this have the same issue. Can't find any evidence if those complaints in the reviews though.

FYI the way these are built the weld seam that runs down the middle of the tank is not recessed like other metal Jerry's. As a result they will never sit flush and always wobble side-to-side but the bigger issue is they'll always be putting most of their weight on said seam which doesn't bode well for long-term integrity.

Not sure I understand what you mean. Mine are in carriers and don't 'wobble' at all.

If they are full of fuel with no air inside, they won't expand/contract at all since fuel doesn't drastically change volume at different temperatures like air does.
