Same price at lowes! https://www.lowes.com/pd/DEWALT-2...5015801601
Amazon matched Lowes price, and Lowes has a better return policy.

I have the 779, upgraded with laser light, and man, I am very happy with that saw! If this performs in the same neighborhood, I am very tempted. I currently use a battery Ryobi 10" miter, dual bevel, with a reversed blade for cutting aluminum soffit and sometimes vinyl siding... this saw would be a huge upgrade!
This is already a great price but I wish they threw in a stand. Frown

DeWalt is lazy. They adapted a nearly 40 year old design for battery power instead of using the new front rail or arm link systems. 51 pounds, enormous footprint. Expensive blades. Hard pass at any price.

Bosch is the gold standard for miter saws. For non-commercial use, the new 10" Skil or Metabo front-slide designs are hard to beat. Real-world suggestion for most home owners would be one of the 7-1/14" sliders that actually are portable. Good blades for these are very inexpensive. The $220 Skil 7 1/4" sliding miter saw will cross cut a 2"x 10" - which is more than sufficient for most users. The well reviewed, corded, Ryobi, often about $100, is a great value. It is frequently even less at Direct Tools. Pick a cordless version if you really need that when working in your garage or driveway.
