This GarveeHome 12,000 BTU mini split is mainly being discussed as a budget DIY cooling option with strong output and WiFi on some versions. The unit is described as pumping out a lot of cold air, and the included refrigerant and install process are said to be manageable for handy owners, though vacuuming the lines is required and extra tools can add $200 to $300. Main cautions center on refrigerant confusion, with R32 and R454B both mentioned, plus reports of WiFi pairing trouble, a loud outdoor fan, leaking, and weak customer support.
DIY installation can be feasible when vacuuming the lines and following the refrigerant handling steps.
The mini-split can pump out a lot of cold air after installation.
The unit's drain can support dehumidification in a way that reduces reliance on a separate dehumidifier.
The Wi‑Fi version can be installed by a DIYer using line cutting, flaring, and vacuuming steps.
The unit can be difficult to enter pairing mode for Wi‑Fi connectivity.
The refrigerant choice can create service friction because 454B is a mix and leaks are not as simple to top off.
The product can have quality issues such as an indoor unit leak, a loud outdoor fan, and a hanging bracket that is short.
Warranty coverage can be invalidated by DIY installation, which can reduce protection if problems occur.

But I am looking for a unit, not these cheap ones tho. Also learned something about mix refrigerant.

Can't seem to get it into pairing mode so that I can connect it to wifi. Not a huge deal but pretty annoying trying to get it to work.

Maybe it is in the manual, and someone who has this can weigh in?
