Currently I'm using my trusted many year long relationship with my ASUS RT-AC68U. I picked up 3 of them many years ago from t-mobile sale on them. It is only wifi 5. It is mesh device, but I really only use one of them, but a few years ago set it up for mesh.
My spectrum speed is 50gb ... everything I do works on it, and I do put latest updates on it.
What do you guys suggest, wait another year, or jump in, will I notice a differance. I live a lone. I do look at routers every few years, but as long as my setup still works (so stayed with what works.). Do you guys think in tech years, I'm a caveman using wifi 5 ... and the asus RT-AC68U. .... should I upgrade or stay in my CAVE.
Youtube has a couple of BE 58 asus pro's reviewing it.
Amazon reviews don't seem that positive to me. What do you more knowledgable guys think?

Mine is still working solidly as an access point, but it became way to difficult to update after the legal issues with Asus, so I'm looking for a modern $50 router that is actively updated.
