Reviews and specs look really good. Fraction of the price from a Thermapen too. I'll pick one up. Thanks op

Looks like a knockoff of an industry-standard Thermapen. No thank you, I'll stick with the original instead of a copycat.

I have 2 of these and a Thermapen, this is not a knockoff of anything, it's just a thermometer. It's everybit as good as the Thermapen with arguably better build quality. I bought one of these based on the reviews and the biggest thing I learned was that the Thermapen is way over priced.

Got this the last time it was on sale and it's great. Build quality and speed are both impressive.

I guess I'll try this out. Where exactly do you poke and how far in like a piece of chicken breast to test?

i genuinely dont know how they're selling it for this cheap, it must be at a loss. i am at a loss.

You want to get the tip of the probe in the center of the thickest part of the chicken breast. Try to stay away from bone. If I'm cooking boneless skinless chicken breast, I often go in from the side to end up with the probe more centered in the thickest part of the meat

Thanks. Now I'm genuinely curious if the food I cook will taste any different from my usual way of just cooking it a long time until I think it's done.
