Beast of a hammer drill, DeWalt's top of the line!
But bare tool was just $118 @ Woot.
4ah batteries only worth $10 per ah.
Not sure if DeWalt has fixed the anti rotation yet, but hasn't worked properly.
Should be priced $198 to be a good deal .

These are the Powerpack batteries, so many would consider them to be worth more than $10 per Ah.

I think most people would disagree with your position. Both the Powerpack and the Powerstack have been proven to be capable of flowing energy more quickly than the more basic batteries. This allows some tools to make more power. That justifies a higher price. Though not as high a price as Dewalt would like to charge.

Yes, the DeWalt XR Powerpack battery flows energy faster than standard cylindrical-cell batteries. It uses a tabless cell design that lowers internal resistance, allowing electricity to move freely across a wider conductive path rather than being restricted by traditional small tabs. [1, 2]
Powerpack Design Benefits
  • Lower Resistance: Electricity flows across the full length of the anode and cathode instead of bottlenecking at narrow connection points. [1]
  • Less Heat: Reduced internal resistance keeps the battery cooler during heavy tool usage. [1, 2, 3]
  • More Power Output: Delivers up to 50% more power compared to standard traditional batteries (like the DCB208), helping tools maintain higher RPMs under load. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Better Longevity: Improved thermal management and lower stress on the cell extend the overall lifespan of the battery across charge cycles. [1]

You don't have to try and convince me!
Again, I'll take a 6ah 21700 pack any day over a 4ah PowerPack or the pouch Power Stack.

How's this? I just posted it. It comes with an 8.0 ah battery instead of two 4.0 ah batteries.
