i either have this or a similar model from 2 years ago and LOVE it. paid $200 (half price) replaced the filter twice and working great. expensive but work well. i also got refurb

Refurbished products are not comparable to used cars. Refurbs like Dyson from the manufacturer have their own everyday prices that are not the MSRP of a new product. The only way to get upvoted on Slickdeals is to be below that everyday refurb price, otherwise by your logic anything refurbished qualifies as a good deal because we'd compare back to the strikethrough price of a new product. To use your used car example - a used car salesman wouldn't put the price of the car when it's brand new and strikethrough that to show the used car price as a "deal", that would be nonsensical.
