Looks great and nice but the reviews about poor durability, wheel issues and lack of customer support to honor the warranty is concerning.

This a big luggage piece and a great price. I have the 25" and it fits a lot. With this you can easily exceed the 50 pound checked bag limit.

Luggage is all about the warranty imo. 90 days warranty isn't worth the risk. People might not even take their first trip and that amount of time.

Recently got my first Travelpro Hard side in the form of medium sized checked bag and I am not a fan. You really do need twice the space just to open it up. Forget trying to just push one clothing item in the bag without tearing your arm up on the zipper from not opening the bag all the way. Did I also mention no exterior pockets!

slickdeals needs to stop posting overpriced items and discount it making people think it's a good bargain. slickdeals isn't what it used to be back in the old days. core values have changed.

People are posting about warranty but just to clear up some confusion, the platinum elite line carries a different warranty than the other travel pro luggage. The platinum elite comes with "Trusted Companion Promise", which in addition to lifetime manufacturer defects, it does cover damage from airlines for five years (big caveat of it has to be in the country where you bought the bag). You have to register for the warranty - so it's not the same as Briggs & Riley no questions asked warranty, but then again, this bag is 600 bucks less than the comparable Briggs & Riley Bag. As someone else posted - the warranty doesn't do you any good if there's not a good customer service department to back it - the the warranty itself, on the spectrum of available luggage warranties out there, is better than what the comments are suggesting

Edit - Gemini is telling me that the "same country" clause for the damage by airlines doesn't limit you to the country where you're traveling, rather it refers to the shipping that Travelpro will pay for. So if you ship the bag to a us repair center while abroad, they won't pay for the shipping either way. You can send the bag to a repair center once you return to your home country. Again - not as awesome as the B&R super warranty, but like I said, still better than a lot of other of the major luggage brands.
