This 6 pack LiFePO4 battery setup is aimed at large home storage, with strong appeal for easier balancing, fewer fuses, and less maintenance than juggling many smaller batteries. The pack also looks attractive on a per kilowatt hour basis, around $100 per kilowatt hour, and the repairable layout may be more serviceable over time. The main cautions are size and compliance, since each unit is about 300 pounds and the full 96 kilowatt hour system can run into NFPA 855 and UL certification issues depending on the installation. It fits best where the storage need is real and the install can handle the weight, wiring, and permitting.

  • The pack design can make battery balancing easier and reduce overall maintenance work.

  • The pack approach can reduce the number of fuses and lower the number of potential failure points.

  • The batteries can be easier to service than lithium options for backup use cases.

  • The deal price works out to just under $100 per kWh for the stated capacity.

  • NFPA 855 placement limits can restrict a 96 kWh (6-pack) setup depending on the AHJ and location category.

  • UL compliance may require the entire battery system, including inverter and BMS, not just UL-certified cells.

  • Each battery is about 300+ lbs and the built-in wheels may be unusable, requiring specialized moving equipment.

  • Balancing and parallel setup complexity can reduce usable capacity to around 80% and lead to failure if not handled correctly.

For perspective an average size home in Houston during current heat and humidity with a 5 ton AC set at 76 deg F, uses every bit of the 96kw in one day.

No reason to cool your entire house at night, so no you don't need 96kwh. Now if you are charging 2 electric cars and running the ac…

Much easier time balancing batteries. Less maintanance and work overall. Less fuses. Less chances for things to break
I get it, but it appears to be 2x the cost. Balance chargers and fuses are a fraction of the difference, with the system appearing to be more serviceable overall given the repairability of setup B.

You could get them for less than 2x the cost, but it's more rare.Balancing is not simple and can cause lots of problem, take a look at diysolar and see how many people find out all the edge cases. It requires keeping a close eye and making sure it's done right otherwise your setup will run at 80% capacity and then start to fail
