This belt squat attachment is a very cheap way to add belt squats to a compatible power rack, especially for standard 3 by 3 racks with 5 eighths inch or larger holes. The deal stands out against the original 69 dollar MSRP, and the low price makes it tempting for experimenting. Fit and setup matter, though, since 2 by 2 racks need adapters or spacers and some setups require drilling. The short lever, small pin, and long chain can also create wobble or awkward mechanics, so it works best when the rack and setup are dialed in.
DIY-minded lifters building a longer lever, because two attachments can be joined into a much better belt squat setup.
It fits standard 3x3 racks with 5/8-inch or larger holes. A 2x2 rack does not fit directly, though 2x2 adapter block spacers can make 3x3 attachments compatible.
It can feel too short for some setups, and one owner called it basically useless. Others report it works on a Titan X-3 and for a 6-foot user, with the main fix being a shorter chain if the included dip-belt chain hangs too low.
Yes. Two units can be joined with the included hitch pin, or drilled and bolted into a longer solid lever, and both methods have been used. The two-unit setup is described as much better than using one attachment alone.
The original MSRP is $69, and the $11.24 sale price is considered a strong discount even versus another Walmart listing for a similar attachment. That makes it a low-cost way to try the setup if your rack is compatible.
Shortening the chain can improve the setup, especially for shorter users, and using a shorter replacement chain is a common fix. Some users also raise the attachment on boxes or platforms to get the working height they want.
Yeah I don't like that resistance curve of this attachment. It should be the hardest at the bottom, but it's not because the resistance vectors are split horizontally and vertically (gets easier as it goes to the bottom). It's only the hardest at the top, when the weight and bar are horizontal - which doesn't make sense because you are loading in the standing position.
I'm even thinking of making it work by getting squat wedges, and pointing them away from the post, but being tilted over seems awkward. If I ever spring for a squat belt, a standard barbell with a landmine (while standing on blocks or plates) looks to work better.
Part of making progress in any exercise is consistency and liking the exercise at some level matters. This doesn't look ideal. Great discount, but I will pass. Will stick to my single leg bulgarian squats for now.
These were on sale about a year ago. Get two. Drill holes in the opposite end of one. Join together with one of the included hitch pins for a longer lever. Done.
Two make a fantastic belt squat. One does not.

Here's how I joined two from the pervious deal thread. You can try two different ways. First, just leave one hitch pin for a pivot point. Second, drill two holes and make one solid lever with two pins or bolts. I've done it both ways.
Can you explain the first method? I don't know how you would connect two with just one hitch point without drilling two holes.
You do have to drill at least one set of holes (2 total) for the pivot method. There are pics in the link above.
Drill two set of holes (4 total) to join it solid. Try the pivot first. It works very well. I use 2 boxes I made out of wood to get about 10" off the ground.

Using two attachments together can create a longer lever that improves belt squat usability.
The attachment fits standard 3x3 squat racks with 5/8-inch or larger hole diameters.
The included dip-belt chain can be too long, but shortening the chain can make setup work better.
Some setups report minor wobble from a slightly small pin, but the attachment still works on a Titan X-3 rack.
The short lever length can pull the user forward during use.
The attachment can be too short for practical use, making it essentially unusable.
The resistance curve may feel backwards because it can get easier as it goes to the bottom.
Installation can require drilling multiple holes, which adds setup friction before use.
