This or members mark brand from Sam's club? That's 24 pieces for same price.

Snapware has lifetime warranty/replacement on their lids which inevitably will break.

No experience with the Pyrex, but we've been daily use of the Sam's one for a few years with no issues!

Lifetime of the product not actual lifetime warranty. That's said there def of lifetime isn't clearly written out. Could be 5,10,15 years.

Did this get merged with another thread? I didnt see the comments about Sams a second ago. Sorry for repeat info. Snapware/Pyrex is a good name brand. Not sure of the differences but Sams Club has a 24 piece Members Mark set for the same $20 (online + possible shipping fee or in store). https://www.samsclub.com/ip/7874225178

Sam's one suck, the lids were really hard to snap in on some of them. Bought this from Costco, so much easier to close. Sam's one is going back.

PSA - This ain't your grandma's PYREX

I've loved Pyrex products, but note that they aren't the same today. In fact, sadly, it would be better to purchase other brands. Why?

The modern pyrex (lower case) you buy today is fundamentally different from vintage PYREX (all caps). In 1998, Corning (in a terrible move that irreparably damaged the brand) licensed the consumer brand to World Kitchen (now Instant Brands). They switched from borosilicate glass to tempered soda-lime glass to cut costs (but charge the same).

What to buy:

Vintage / European (PYREX): Made of borosilicate glass. It handles extreme temperature shifts effortlessly and, when dropped, tends to fracture into a few large, dull pieces.

Buyer beware:

Modern US (pyrex): It's made of tempered soda-lime glass. It's cheaper to make and handles minor surface bumps (sometimes), but relies on heavy internal tension. When dropped, that tension can release violently, causing it to shatter into thousands of sharp dangerous shards. I found out the hard way, when to my surprise, I recently dropped a pyrex bowl and, instead of "bouncing" (or, at worst, cracking), it shattered into the aforementioned thousands of sharp dangerous pieces (which haunt me to this day, the bloodthirsty buggers).

How to spot old-school borosilicate:

Logo: Printed in ALL CAPS (PYREX), whereas modern soda-lime uses lowercase (pyrex).
Color: Clear or slightly yellow along the rim (modern glass has a distinct bluish-green tint).
Source: Found in thrift stores, European imports (where PYREX is still borosilicate) or brands like OXO Good Grips that explicitly use borosilicate glass.
