I would choose the Katana gen 3 combo (for an extra $76) over this Fender in a heartbeat.

Fender does not deserve to charge extra due to the badge.

This product is inferior. Not worthless, just less. No reputable reviewer sites place it over other choices. It's just LESS value per your dollar.

For these reasons Fender has to practically give their crap away, and they instead over charge. You will see; this will not end well for them. Overhaul. Restructure. Sell out. A new Fender.

The only question is will you remember. And how much of that crap you are willing to take, next time.

The key: All is vanity.

Overview of the Fender Champion II 50

The Fender Champion II 50 is a 50-watt modeling amplifier designed for beginner guitarists and those seeking a budget-friendly option. It features a classic Fender aesthetic and offers a variety of tones, making it a popular choice among entry-level players.
Key Features

  • Power: 50 watts, suitable for practice and small venues.
  • Tones: Offers multiple amp voicings, including classic Fender, British, and high-gain options.
  • Effects: Includes basic effects like reverb, delay, and chorus.
  • Connectivity: Features a USB-C port for firmware updates and 3.5mm jacks for aux-in and headphones.
Limitations

  • EQ Options: Limited equalization controls may restrict sound customization.
  • Power: While 50 watts is adequate for practice, it may not be powerful enough for larger venues.
  • Market Competition: Competes with other brands that offer more features at similar price points.
Conclusion

While the Fender Champion II 50 is a solid choice for beginners due to its affordability and variety of tones, its limited EQ options and power may not meet the needs of more experienced players or those performing in larger settings.

I have a Champion 100 XL and a Katana G2 100. The Katana beats it to pieces. The Champion line has no discernible personality at all. The built in effects are borderline garbage. I only use it for cleans and even that I rarely even use anymore. It's JC-120 levels of loud though !

All these makers need to stop the BS. Use open firmware and allow community upgrades and enhancements. Amps need to be made easy to repair; instead of stealing your right to repair. No other parts to buy, to use them, and the general idea is to make a better products, at a better price.

Haven't tried this amp, but if it has something in the realm of other Fender clean channels, that would make this a better buy than the Katana. The cheap modeling stuff isn't really that appealing to intermediate-advanced players.

Yeaaaa, and if my mustang micro was any indicator of the quality of their simulated amps... nah man I'd rather have a boss katana all day every day!

And I don't even have a katana lol. I have a spark go, a spark mini, and an orange crush 20rt
