"Seed oils cause chronic inflammation" this is a highly contested statement with no scientific data to support it. But since it could technically happen, wellness community take it for granted as a blanket

Might want to double check that. That's only wheat grown in northern states and parts of Canada that have a short harvest season. Most of America's wheat does not use glyphosate. This was published by a magazine that no longer exists. The same magazine that claimed MMR vaccines cause autism. Major countries have rebuked this claim since then, and have not found glyphosate in wheat causes any human problems.

These are delicious. Just picked them up today. Air fried works best.

These Royal Asia vegetable spring rolls are a cheap freezer snack best known for crisping up well in an air fryer and pairing easily with the included soy ginger sauce. The filling leans vegetable forward, with edamame, jicama, carrot, cabbage, and sweet potato, and the rolls work as a quick side or light lunch. The main knocks are that they are small, greasy, and can taste bland, salty, or mushy, with the sauce sometimes running too sweet. A handy option if you want a crunchy, budget snack and do not mind a lighter filling.

  • Air frying helps the spring rolls crisp up while reducing the amount of oil on the finished rolls.

  • The included soy ginger dipping sauce tastes good and can be used with or without additional condiments.

    m3ttaphidealomairSpinControl

  • The price works out to a low per-roll cost, and several comments describe it as a good deal despite size.

  • The vegetable filling includes edamame, which can make the rolls more satisfying for people who like edamame.

    Sydd_Gribblersomighty

  • The spring rolls can be tiny and greasy, and the sauce may taste too sweet for some preferences.

    GoldenGhettobinkie94alphawave

  • Some preparation and ingredient concerns can affect perceived healthfulness, including refined soybean oil in the wrapper and filling.

    ctcsdConsumerAdvoCatdesynergy

  • Some experiences include stomach upset or constipation after eating the spring rolls.

    ethbtcPetSpy

  • Frozen storage and packaging can create cleanup issues when a sauce packet leaks in the box.

The first two ingredients are wheat flour and highly refined soybean oil, so definitely not 😆. Non-organic wheat in America is drenched in glyphosate (Roundup) at the end of harvest to kill the plant and dry it out in the field for easier harvest. Roundup causes cancer and destroys the microbiome in your gut, which can itself contribute to cancer, along with causing mood and irritability issues (most of your serotonin is made in the gut). It's illegal pretty much everywhere else in the world. Seed oils cause chronic inflammation.

I don't disagree, but this says "Product of Vietnam," so I'm assuming the wheat isn't grown here. But their two uses of 'highly refined soybean oil' certainly aren't nice (wrapper and filling)…

Definitly not healthy. Ive had these in my freezer and everytime I eat a couple I'm constipated and feel like shit for a couple days so I've been avoiding them. I wouldn't recommend if you try to eat healthy.

Even the regular price sounds really cheap for 50 spring rolls.
I'm guessing they must be pretty small?

Wasn't aware of that. Looked it up out of curiosity, and Vietnam imports nearly all of their wheat, as they have no meaningful domestic production. Their main source is Australia, which is one of only a handful of other countries that allows pre-harvest dessicant glyphosate.

They're about the size of a roll of nickels - maybe a bit shorter and fatter. Tasty though, makes for an easy add on for a fried rice dinner.

This is just a regular costco flyer sale...

Personally, not a fan of these. Not much taste, and the sauce is the same one they package with the shrimp dumplings (har gow), which are much better IMO.
