In for one, looks like an insane price these days. Should we expect the cancellation notices momentarily?
I'm really surprised it's still showing stock, and at the same price.

My biggest guess is that Amazon might have been waiting on stock for a while, just got it in, but is using the previous prices from when it was last available.

With that said, Amazon (Shipped and Sold by amazon) inventory has generally been very reliable, and I can't remember the last time they cancelled an order that was 'in stock' (I've had them cancel backordered items).

Mine says delivers between 5-10PM tonight, so I'm hoping (and expecting) the best. If anyone gets cancellations, I'm assuming it would first be the people buying multiples

Sold and shipped by Amazon! Hopefully it's legit still. It seems my other SSDs on my lists also dropped WAY down but are sold out or changed sellers

FWIW this spent most of 2025 in the $200s before jumping in March 2026 to $550-600 and hovering there for the last 5 months, according to CCC.

Will we have to sue Samsung for warranty like Louis Rossmann did because they claimed they didnt have any drives left and stock?

I'd consider this but I still have unopened $50/tb backup drives sitting in a drawer. Prices will eventually fall, maybe not that low again, but to more reasonable levels when I actually need a drive.

Otherwise, if you need one right now or very soon, grab it.

Edit: F it, bought one. SMH.

Good price in current market. Much better than those Chinese brands. That said, these used to be close to 200 pre-AI. I usually went for the Pro drives instead for $20more.

4tb/8tb will be first to fall. So if you can wait until mid-2027, these prices will be normal by then. Need them sooner? Buy what you can get.

I'd grab one but I have 4-5 similar drives in a drawer that I bought a few years back. No reason to overspend, these will drop eventually

I got one, but it still kills me that these used to be even cheaper, around $200.

This is an excellent deal. Is the SSD real, authentic? Too many fakes out there.
