Overpriced. A deal is at $20. A good deal is at $15. Don't fall for this mediocre deal. Of course a staff post doesn't want you to save the most money.

Imo walmart should just merge WM supercenters with Sams and have a membership where if you spend over $1k a year the membership is refunded. And have $1 hotdog+drink just to screw with costco

Take a walk through CB sites. Last year I got a Plus membership and 100% was rebated back to me. A mistake? Maybe, but my year of Sam's cash made the deal that much sweeter.

... free same/next day deliver on orders over $50 (easy) is arguably better. My local Sam's is very timely and reliable. We almost never go to the store anymore.

Sam's doesn't value existing customers. I never received any bonus or discount on my membership after 4 years. All of their incentives are meant to lure in new customers only. I wouldn't be surprised if the 24 month stipulation was real. You'd only be able to swap memberships twice if you had a spouse.

Sam's is the Great Value version of Costco, literally. The only reason I'd go here is if it was the only member store within an hour.
