Lavazza Super Crema is a whole bean coffee that can brew into a strong, flavorful cup, especially when ground a bit coarser and used with less coffee in a drip machine like a Moccamaster. The beans are also described as good value for the price, and the 6 pack has arrived with clear roast dating and long best before dates. The main knocks are bitterness for some tastes, poor results in drip coffee for others, and concerns that the deal is weaker than nearby Costco pricing. A solid option if you want a bold bean and can dial in the grind.
Common Questions (3)
This deal is often compared unfavorably with Costco pricing, where Lavazza espresso or other Lavazza varieties have been seen for about $10.99 to $12 per 2.2 lb bag. Costco does not carry Super Crema specifically, but the alternative Lavazza beans there are cheaper per bag.
It can work in a Moccamaster drip brewer, but it tastes very strong unless ground coarse and brewed with less coffee than the usual Moccamaster recommendation. One comment also describes it as disgusting for drip, so it may suit espresso-style preferences better than standard drip.
One received 6-pack had a manufactured date of 5/26/26 and a best-before date of 5/25/28. Another earlier Amazon order of the same Super Crema was reported to expire in January 2027, so freshness can vary by shipment.

HOWEVER, gran crema barista creations is my goto and I don't use this coffee at all. My wife inadvertently bought almost every coffee lavazza bean and we ended up liking the gold for regular coffee, gran crema for espresso shots.
I have not tried their lambourghini.
