Code is still live. I've had some of mine going strong since 2021. A few have died over the years (primarily my warm white ones which aren't on sale) but they have done well surviving New England blizzards. If you leave them in the ground over winter just be aware snow can sometimes cause the plastic part of the light housing to break off its connection with the "stainless steel post" part of the light.

The brightness of this lights and nowhere near what they show in the photo. These are not bright at all, they are like the tiny xmas lights on your tree.
