These 5 gallon buckets are mainly appealing as a cheap clearance utility bucket, with some orders going through at $2.50 and free next day delivery. They are plain enough to be less of an eyesore indoors, and the black Leaktite lid fits them perfectly. The buckets do not include lids, and some stores still scan them at $4.98 or cancel orders instead of honoring the clearance. Availability also appears location dependent, so the deal is best treated as a local closeout.
Common Questions (4)
No, the bucket is sold without a lid. A black Leaktite lid reportedly fits it perfectly if you need one.
No, the clearance is location-dependent and some nearby stores may still show no clearance or a higher shelf price. One store scanned it at $4.98 and refused a price adjustment, while another order went through at the $2.50 clearance price.
Yes, free next-day delivery was available on at least one order for two buckets at the $2.50 clearance price. Availability may vary by store and order.
They are doubted to be made in America and are not confirmed as certified food-grade. They can still be used for general storage or mixing, but avoid acidic contents if you want to reduce plastic degradation.
