I do know the difference between a chromebook and a laptop. I work in a school where every student gets a chromebook. It is useful for the most basic stuff and nothing else.

The difference between a Chromebook and a windows laptop, is that the Chromebook will become e waste in a very short period of time and be thrown away and the windows laptop will probably work for the next 5-10 years.

For a chromebook that's good timeline wise for me but I'm also currently using my college hp laptop from 2012. Now granted I'm using it for light browsing, light office suite work, and retro PC games.
