To be fair though, Orlando has the same hellish heat and humidity as Japan lol

It's a mixture… You can get a lay flat seat for a pretty good price, but other than it being a laydown seat, things are pretty basic. There is no video display and the food is pretty nasty. That being said I still had a really good time flying from SFO to Tokyo because it was quick and easy and the price was fantastic.

Wow, if I could have one luxury when flying and omit the rest, it'd be lay flat seat. I can bring some tablets loaded with movies and books for screen time. I can tolerate 12 hours of meh food. I should keep them in mind. Thanks.

I just flew to Japan through ZipAir last month. The experience is pretty good. It feels just the same as basic/economy ticket in other major airlines. But it's really cheap, even after buying 1 check-in luggage. I brought my food to the trip and enjoyed the whole trip. It doesn't have entertainment,(like TVs etc.) but it does have free Internet(via StarLink) which works very well.

United recently had a round trip deal from Houston to Tokyo for $1000 from Aug to December. Not sure if you are saving much money if you have to pay normal price for the return flight, checked bags, food and all the other fees.

You have to pay for your food and it's instant ramen...

for 200$ to japan is crazy good zip is usually 400-500 with addons they are preatty basic but honestly almost the same as any other airline i give them 8/10 Just get youtube premium DL your own entertainment/books/music etc ....also just buy some food/snacks for the ride at the airport and your good to go. Not a bad time to go for those dates! tip:get the seats in the back corners theres extra room!

I've been to tokyo in the summer and fall. late october, early november are much better if it's an option for you. low 70s during the day and cool at night.
