It's a mixture… You can get a lay flat seat for a pretty good price, but other than it being a laydown seat, things are pretty basic. There is no video display and the food is pretty nasty. That being said I still had a really good time flying from SFO to Tokyo because it was quick and easy and the price was fantastic.

no frills, low-cost budget airline that gets you from point a to point b. it does its job getting you to your destination. you may pay for additional services at check out (i.e. checked bag, seat selection, food, etc..). flight attendants are attentive. they are owned by JAL.

Returning flight isn't cheap. I'll wait for the $284 to and return sale.

I loved it for what it is. Travel light and you pay what you got. The one thing that changed recently (besides free internet starlink) is that the food got so much worse than what it was.

It's like flying AA basic economy but parts won't fall off the plane and flight attendants come around and are actually helpful. Pre-order the 🍜.

It's cheap because Japan has brutal summers. I'd rather pay a hundred more and go in the spring or fall.
