The foot locker idea seems interesting, but probably doesn't work as well in practice. In particular, the mud mat is a nice idea that fails in execution alongside the foot locker given that the mud mat material looks about as flimsy as the rest of the tent floor.
However, if you think the tent could work for your camping the price is a nice one. There's even a smaller 3-person model below $25. You save over two pounds from the 4-person model, could still fit a queen or air full mattress inside if desired, and get a slight more compact size when packed away. With the 3-person model you do lose 6" of center height (44" vs 50") and cute features like the foot locker vs. the 4-person model.
Good luck!

I usually buy this tent in Walmart as a throw away tent when I go car camping or beach camping. I just use it for a week or two and they throw it in the garbage. It's adequate, but not for the long term and I don't feel like taking it home. Especially because the zippers don't survive for more than a couple of weeks of use and always get stuck. Also rain can get through, because the rain cover is pretty small
Once i bought another Ozark Trail tent for $60 instead and it's so much better quality - less flappy, no issues with the rain, zippers are waaaaaaay better

P.s. They all not suitable for any hiking trips, too heavy
