I got this model and it was decent until I found out that it won't work with any label brand except the numbot with the RFID chip inside, meaning refills are much more expensive. There are plenty of printers for the same size label in the $15 price range that don't have this restriction.

Can you share any of them? Based on reviews I've read, a lot of the cheaper ones you find on Amazon have the rfid chip nonsense now

Yea I have it. Very annoying to go as far to add a rfid chip to the spool! I like the unit but on the lookout for a printer like it without the proprietary restriction!
