The BB1200 is a heated bidet seat aimed at people who want warm water, a dryer, and remote control convenience. The seat warmer and side buttons are appreciated, and the unit can fit some one piece toilets well. It also helps cut toilet paper use and can be repaired or warrantied when issues come up. The main drawbacks are weak water pressure, a dryer that can feel underpowered, and reliability concerns around hoses, hinges, and spray mechanisms. It is also worth factoring in outlet installation and the separate Costco BB1200L version without Wi Fi.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes. It needs to be plugged into an outlet, and some installs require adding one behind the toilet. One comment also notes a dedicated 15 amp circuit may be required, so electrical work can be part of the real install cost.

  • Several comments describe the BB1200's water pressure as weak or low. That matters if you want a strong spray, and one user specifically said the low pressure made it a no-go for them.

  • The warm-air dryer is reported to be underwhelming for some users and may feel very hot while still not drying quickly. In practice, some still end up using toilet paper to finish drying unless they sit under the air for a long time.

  • Yes, some issues can be handled with basic maintenance: clean the inlet strainer, drain the underside base plug to clear sediment, and clean limescale from the nozzle. One user also said seller support provided instructions that let them repair a non-electronic issue themselves.

  • Yes. The Costco BB1200L is the non-smart version without Wi‑Fi, while the Amazon BB1200 can connect to an app and save user presets. Both are described as getting the job done, but the smart features are only on the BB1200.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I went on eBay and found a simple bidet, I got multiple of them at different price points. Cheapest was $13, max maybe 30 bucks? We live in southern states the tap water is always warm enough that the heater really isn't needed, in colder areas you might need it to avoid shock.... Either way. The sprayer on ours is plenty strong and no electricity needed at all. I'm happy with the cheaper units, goal was to save toilet paper and be cleaner, not blow money on fancy unnecessary features

Recommend bidets. I think I have this one or the BB-2000, something like that. Unfortunately mine doesn't work anymore. It makes the noise but no water comes out. Not sure what the deal is or how to fix.
There should be a strainer in the bidet. Have you tried pulling the strainer out and cleaning it?

I've gone through 2 of these already. They will last 3-5 years. Also, the water tank design means you will run out of hot water in 2 minutes.
Bro...what do you need to have a bidet running for 2 minutes straight?

Bought one from this company a few years ago. It broke within 2 months. Poor product and poor customer service. For some reason they are shilled on here all the time. I bought a Toto to replace it and its been working fine ever since. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this company and just get a Toto.

Guys, just get a $20 attachment. A lil cool water isn't gonna kill ya. Also, maybe it was just the one I used, but the air dryer is useless. You're gonna have to use TP to dry off.

I have some older biobidets that I got from Costco. Just replaced one that stopped working with a Toto.

Of the 2 left, 1 works and the other works but the remote is intermittent.

Probably low batteries. Try flipping it around and pointing the remote at the bidet, or swap out the batteries.

How so? This is a buy once, use for multiple years and reduce toilet paper usage to near zero. The amount of toilet paper this thing replaces is way harder on the environment than the cost of manufacturing this.
We use more paper now to wipe the water off our butt cheeks and Crack. The hot air really does not dry you off unless you sit there for a long time.

So, yes, for the average SlickDealer, $200 for the bidet and $400 for an electrician and inspection.
Code requires a dedicated 15 amp circuit run from the fuse panel.

I have two of these exact Bio Bidet BB1200 models. I bought them at Costco for $199 each, one in February 2025 and the other about 6 months later. They both work great and I recommend them.
Me too

Yeah, especially in the middle of the night when you're still half asleep. Needing glasses and lights to see the remote? - nah. Plus, what if the remote isn't where it's supposed to be? -- nah. The older premium models had all of the extra features AND side buttons. Win/win.
The bio bidet still has buttons on the side as well as the remote

Don't these need to be plugged into an outlet? Most bathrooms don't have an outlet right near the toilet. Do you have to have an electrician add one?
Extension cord running through cable molding works well depending on sink and the location of plug.

I wish this finally became a standard installed amenity in all of American hotels, households and respectable "Lavatories" 🚻. It can't be that we are so advanced in,biomedical technology where we literally have kids with full vein replacement units with 80%-90% success rate and we have satellites in space that run for 50 years at a minimal on board energy capacity AND report back before self destruction but yet we are still behind INDIA in "tushy" Hygiene....We gotta do better y'all...

It is a fact, once you go BIDET,your sore crusty booty bop says HEYYY. And y'all will live happily ever after.

Another unnecessary luxury product to clog the environment.
When you get older you will appreciate it more.
