I don't have these exact brand, but a couple of pairs that look almost identical - pocket location, features, etc. And while I'm not a routine 150M+ a week rider, I was doing 75-100 quite regularly - 2000-3000M over the season - and having a phone there was never a comfort problem. (Or any other problem for that matter.)
YMMV, but I really like it. Phone in one side, cash and cards in the other. (Again, it's easy to lose things pulling them out of your jersey pockets, and since they're behind you, if something else slides out of the same pocket at the same time, unless it's big, you're probably not going to notice. Yes, I lost a license/card that way too.
Could these be better? Probably.
Would you use them if you're spancered and riding professionally? No.
But they're certainly "good-enough" compared to much higher-end comparisons, IMO.

These cycling shorts stand out for practical pocket storage and a padded, long inseam design that works well for rides and everyday carry. The side pockets and rear zipper pocket are handy for phones, snacks, gels, cash, cards, and Liquid IV, and the shorts are described as comfortable enough for regular riding. The 3D padding is framed as an entry point for padded shorts, though the foam pad may flatten over time and longer rides may call for better padding. Sizing also looks unusual, so checking measurements closely matters.
Common Questions (5)
The side pockets can hold a phone, snacks, gels, electrolyte packets, cash, and cards, while the rear zipper pocket is handy for small items like Liquid IV or fruit snacks. The pocket placement keeps items off jersey pockets and can reduce the chance of losing a phone or card while riding.
The 3D chamois is meant to conform better than a flat pad and is a reasonable entry-level option if you want to try padded shorts. For longer rides, the foam-style padding may flatten faster than a gel pad, so comfort can depend on ride length and how much padding you need.
They can fit true to size, but the posted size chart runs oddly large and some pairs may feel long or off in conversion. If you want a tighter fit, sizing down may be the safer choice.
Yes. They are designed to be worn directly against the skin, and underwear underneath can cause more irritation and fit issues.
Yes, the code still seems to work. In the Amazon app, you may need to tap the arrow in the promo code box before pressing Continue to apply it.

If you don't have a pair of padded shorts, and do long enough rides where you butt gets sore, this seems like a great entry-point to grab a pair and try padded shorts. Just wear them under whatever clothes you feel comfortable in. Don't wear underwear under these, it just causes more issue. They are designed to be directly against your skin.
I've become a big fan of the YKKW bib shorts on Ali Express. Many consider them to be the best bang for your buck in cycling shorts but they tend to run ~$35.
