This is an amazing thermometer. Completely accurate and will last your whole cook.

I bought this thermometer at the same price last time, and it's still great! It's super reliable, and you can keep an eye on it from your smartphone or the docking station. Plus, it has a smart feature that helps you figure out how long it will take to get the meat to the right temperature.

It felt like normal price given how often I'm seeing it.

Got the two probe for this price a bit ago and have done like five cooks with it. Love it mostly, the app is solid and gives ton of info, base is nice and has the main features you can easily adjust, settings are easy to manipulate in app or base (although base is limited), and the "smart" cook has been working great. My only issue is I can't use an extra probe to monitor JUST my ambient temp. If the probe doesn't have specific sections of itself within a meat it gets too hot and shuts off. Not the biggest deal obviously once you get the food on since the probe will tell you ambient as long as most is in a meat, but I still have to go to my wired thermometer to monitor smoking temps pre-meat or if something that doesn't always work the best with a probe like ribs.
I'd still easily recommend though, it has been great overall.

I got the 2 probe version when it went on sale, then splurged on the 4 probe version. The extra probes lets me monitor the St Louis Ribs from Costco when I smoke the three racks of ribs. Works really well, has literally saved my steaks from being overcooked.

I bought at the same price about a month ago. After my first cook (tri tip, kamado smoker at 250°F for a bit over an hour) I pulled one of the probes out and it separated where the black plastic portion meets the probe tip, exposing the chip inside. Got it replaced through Amazon no issues but have yet to test it on another cook. It performs very well and I was impressed with the accuracy across multiple points within the probe (it doesn't just read at the tip, but at five different points, including ambient temp at the exposed end). A good upgrade from a wired probe BT unit previously.

Cut up a large potato and insert the second probe in the potato and leave it close to the meat to measure grate/ambient temperature.

I got the G2 during prime day and so far it has been great. The battery for the base only lasts for about three 4+ hours cook but I don't mind that.

Is this the kind I want if I'm in a smoker and several walls and 100+ feet away? I'm pretty sure, but confused with the P, G, X and other lines they have. Not to mention their sister brand Typhur
