I believe the answer is yes. It's still a turn based rpg.

I really enjoyed Yakuza Like a Dragon so this is an easy buy for me.

Community Reviews

This month is anchored by Like a Dragon, Infinite Wealth, a turn based RPG that keeps the series story heavy while smoothing the combat compared with Yakuza Like a Dragon. The comments praise Ichiban, call the story one of the strongest recent game narratives, and frame the wider series as a huge arc when played in order. Dead Cells also stands out as a strong value pick. The main caution is that the Like a Dragon style is not for everyone, especially if turn based RPGs are not your thing.

Common Questions (4)

  • Yes. Infinite Wealth is still a turn-based RPG, though its combat is described as smoother than Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The main series entries outside the Like a Dragon subseries are beat 'em ups, so this style change matters if you prefer action combat.

  • Humble Choice charges on the last Tuesday of the month for active non-gift plans, after the games are revealed on the first Tuesday. You can also redeem the bundle and then cancel immediately if you do not want to keep the subscription.

  • It is still turn-based, so it can be a harder sell if you disliked Yakuza: Like a Dragon's RPG style. Infinite Wealth is described as smoother than LAD, but it does not switch back to the brawler combat used in other Yakuza games.

  • Yes. You can buy the Humble Choice bundle, redeem the codes, and cancel the subscription immediately afterward without keeping the membership.

Is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth similar to Yakuza Like a Dragon? Because I got Yakuza Like a Dragon on a prior deal, never having played games from that series.... and it's one of the most boring games I've ever played in my life. I rarely ever uninstall a game before finishing it, but I definitely did it with that game like 3 days after I installed it. I'm not sure if the "Like a Dragon" was a one time thing they did with the gameplay. The gameplay was so dull.

Been waiting for Infinite Wealth. Like a Dragon had one of the best video game stories that I can recall in recent memory. This month is an instant buy for me.

It is turn based, but it's better than LAD was, if that makes sense. They tweaked things to make it smoother, but I still prefer the brawler style games. I also didn't care for LAD and the turn-based style vs. the brawler style of other games in the series (and the 2 Judgment games if you count those as well) so it's love it or hate it with the turn based games. Rumor has it some future titles will also be turn based (insert collective groan here). Playing them all in order though (including the Judgment games) provides you ONE HELL of a huge, amazing story arc though.

For the monthly subscribers, if you redeem one of the keys early in the month do they charge you then or until end of month?

Been awhile but I'm pretty sure they charge you if you claim any game

You've already paid, so it's if it uses a credit you bought. It uses it as soon as you redeem one of the games.
