Xfinity's Thursday drop bundles a free Godzilla x Kong movie, a $10 Grubhub gift card, and a $1 rental, with the Grubhub card being the standout value. The movie links through Movies Anywhere, which gives proper 5.1 sound on Firestick, and the gift card can be loaded or checked through Grubhub without a PIN. The main snag is access, since rewards can appear late, fail to load, or show unavailable in the app before working on the website. A practical perk if you catch it live.
Common Questions (5)
They typically appear around noon Eastern, which is 9 AM Pacific. Checking the desktop account page can show them a minute or two before the Rewards page, and the offer may also appear in the app shortly after.
The code can be redeemed on the website by removing spaces from the numbers, and no PIN is needed. If the app says the reward is unavailable, keep trying or use the desktop website, which worked for multiple members after the app failed.
The $10 Grubhub cards can stack, and they can be saved in a Grubhub account with the last 4 digits and balance shown. The balance checker at grubhub.com/account/giftcards/balance can still show $10.00 until the card is spent, but once added to an account it becomes locked to that account.
Some members still see the full bundle, but others report the offers no longer loading at all, with the page showing three dots and then nothing. A separate account error message, "get eligible rewards failed," also appears for some users.
Yes, the Xfinity movie links to Movies Anywhere, and that app has proper 5.1 sound on Firestick. That makes it a better playback option than the Xfinity Stream app for this title.
