ChatGPT recommends this for long term value and vitamix is the top of it's recommendations even when refurbished. I'm a longterm smoothiest and also want to make baby food for a while. I might press the button but i wish it included a small smoothie makers size too.

Vitamix is the best consumer grade blender you can buy. That being said this model has been under $200 numerous times in the last 6 months. Also i would get a Vitamix model that is made for their storefront not a model created specifically for a retailer like QVC/Costco. Also the higher end blenders from Vitamix have a higher horsepower and better motor meaning less time fighting to blend properly. So i have a nutribullet i've been using for 2 years about weekly, and ive used friends ninja blenders as well. They work well enough for smoothies and various foods. Why do Vitamixes always seem to be 2x more expensive? Branding?

Vitamix basically has two motors and the power difference between them are minimal.

This is ignoring their commercial blenders.

I spent $450+ tax on my Vitamix 3 years ago and I have never regretted it. One of the best kitchen appliances we have that gets used almost daily.

$350 Vitamix 5200 is design run 10 hours a day making 100 gallons of smoothies. Ultra smooth blending.

$250 Vitamix E or V is design to run 1 hour for 10 gallon houses smoothie.

$50 Oster or Braun blender is fine for most people running 15 to 30 minutes a day 1 gallon smooth ie My $15 blender can crush ice too

I have the nutribullet pro 900 and love it but it is tbh kind of annoying to clean. Tightening the lid enough to run a soap cycle without the water leaking can be annoying (I use it 4-5 times a week).

No. It's legit 100% worth the extra costs. I have owned both and it's not in the same ball park capability.

i normally don't recommend items that cost an arm and leg like $1200 baby stroller. but i do highly recommend vitamix blenders. i swear its worth it's money. you will never see a vitamix at $250. it's always around $500 and has been for the last 20 years.

I got mine around 25-300... it was refurbished. Have had it for like 7 years, came from a blendtech, they are night and day difference imo (though I still think my blendtech may have been a lemon, I just didn't know enough to prove that).

My Vitamix is 7 years old for me (and who knows how long before refurbed) and it still blends like it did day 1 despite relatively heavy usage. Thing is scary powerful.

What's your frustration with ninja? After 12 years of Vitamix 5200 and its predecessor I've decided to switch to ninja. Really lousy/nasty customer service and predatory pricing on the pitchers. I chipped mine after 8 months of use and they want $200 to replace the pitcher. Can buy over 2 ninjas for that price so decided to make the switch. Haven't junked the base yet so I guess can always buy the pitcher down the road if wind up unhappy with ninja.
