The specs look decent. You can play most games with this laptop.

This seems like a solid deal although I worry about the TDP of the GPU, it could be severely gimped and finding accurate information about that can be questionable at best

Google's chatbot says 85W, as does Rdt.

Only $170 off so even the regular price isn't that high for the the specs. How is the build quality?

Dang, I got one for $1050 on open box a few weeks ago, the price keeps dropping. Alongside the other SSD deals we saw this week from Amazon, maybe things are going down.

How do you like it so far? Any regrets or unexpected quirks?

It's a cutdown wattage 5070 to make this laptop thin. Always check to graphics cards wattage before purchasing. Nvidia and Companies don't like to tell.

Thin gaming laptops not good at all for intensive graphics games. Indie games will be ok.

I have the 370HX version of this, same 5070, pulling ~166-170 FPS in CyberPunk 2077 (high/ultra and max screen reso) with the GPU hanging solid AF at 69-71C. Less power, less heat, longer life I say.

If it's the same hardware otherwise, as I mentioned in another post, I have the 370HX version my only gripe is screen bleeding (backlight) when I'm turning the thing on/at boot/solid black screen. As most of our computing lives aren't spent staring into my soul, it's really not noticeable otherwise. Other than that, I'm quite happy, this thing replaced my legion 5 pro that died many deaths (5800/3070), I can game with betterer DLSS, more FPS and cooler temps.

edit: checked, same panel.
