at least they offer a solution when it can't be a fully on the cart game that still acts like a physical game. They also are the only company left that actually cares about physical media. Try going to Sony, which is going away with CDs after next year. Go complain about how annoying that is.

Agreed, the more I learn about the idea behind the game key cards, I think they're a decent compromise in certain instances. Even some / a lot of PS and XBox discs still don't have everything on the disc, they just don't call attention to it as clearly as Nintendo does. But game on cart is definitely preferable when feasible.

You can complain about all of them. Steam doesn't offer physical but you're free to archive your games on physical if you so choose unless the game requires another launcher. GOG games come DRM free so you can put them onto a physical disc with no strings attached. In this day the important thing is that companies give you the option to have physical media or not, Nintendo isn't one of them.

This was easily the best deal yesterday on Walmart. Managed to get it for $20 after the FAST30 coupon.

The largest cartridge available is 64 gigs. This game takes up significantly more space than that. It won't fit on a card. At least with a game key card you can still sell it later. And have you forgotten that Sony is going fully digital? I hope you also find them effing annoying.
