About this Item:
  • With a 84 ft hose and 6 ft lead hose, this hose reel covers up to 6727 ft²/625㎡, making it ideal for large gardens or distant areas without frequent reel movement. The patented ratchet locking system lets you pull the hose and lock it at any desired length for precise watering.

The triple-layer PVC hose with 3/4-inch brass interface is pressure-resistant, leak-proof, and ensures stable water flow and extended lifespan. Yes, for some reason I never see good sales on the 5/8.

Please ban all the 1/2" until the 5/8" goes on sale. We need to strike.

We picked up when it went on sale for $63. Very easy for my wife to use when watering all of her plants. Not really worried about cold weather as its easy to carry inside with the handle. We mounted on 4x6 post to get it out in front of the flower bed plants.

It's not just the cold, the heat makes the plastic casing brittle and warps the internal spring mechanism. Also, it's hard to fully drain the hose of water.

Agreed. 1/2 inch is too weak!

I bought this one last time it was on SD and am disappointed. The convenience is great, but the whole thing feels really cheap with lots of soft plastic. Also, the pressure and water flow drop from going to 1/2" is tremendous - far greater than I expected. This product would be fine for light gardening but I'm really doubting it will last long, especially with the previous comments.

Best thing I ever did as a home owner was to switch to those collapsible hoses and just put the hose in a garden pot. Not the ones with the holes in them (they will come off once you extend the hose as far as it goes) but just a regular garden pot. Looks better, doesn't need a devise to roll it up, and the pot itself has lasted forever. The hoses don't always last as long, but that's the trade off.
