The 49 inch msi at sams club goes on sale for around this price periodically. It has a good Msi warranty plus sam's club warranty. Actually on sale right now for less than this at $599.

Plus the MSI is OLED; this isn't.

I got a 45" LG LED panel around the same time that I got the 49" MSI OLED (I'm typing on it now)... I couldn't send the LG back fast enough -- even though it was ~$200 less at the time.

I was going to jump on that MSI monitor but there are port limitations that you need to look into. You can't run full capability on any given port if you are using it for gaming that is. I need something for productivity so a VA panel is right up my alley.

The specs on the sams club website are wrong. Look it up by model.

I cannot imagine somebody will spend more money on a VA panel than OLED. OLED is day and night significantly better than VA.

I have this model and the thermal protection tripped and bricked the monitor like right after the warranty ended.
This is a pretty common issue and I'd recommend not getting this monitor.

I ended up having to keep the monitor sitting face down on a beanbag chair for 3 months until I managed to find a replacement salvaged T-Con board on eBay.

Do not bother with HDR on this thing.

yea buy these monitors from a place you can get a long warranty and return easily.. I've returned 3 of them to Costco because they only last a year or so. I do have one thats been going strong for a few years now but my second one died within 6 months. Costco took it back easily and the dude behind me in line was also returning one. On a seperate note, if your doing desktop work or coding the VA screens are far better the OLED. OLED is better on movies and gamign though.

Reminder that this isn't an OLED, and this naming convention is intentionally deceptive.
It's just a rebranded original G9 with a new stand.
