Looks like it would mostly be coming from the dates, egg, and whatever protein there is in peanut butter. Good if you're trying to avoid dairy, but it's too bad they couldn't incorporate some other protein

My rule of thumb is that if the protein is not approximately 1/10th of total calories, it's not a good source of protein. Of course, you have to look at the ingredients as well. In this case, protein should be close to 21 gm for it to be considered a protein snack. It's less than half of it. So it's a no-go for me.

It says right on the package 'not a good source of protein' ..but some people are still happy having a moderate amount of protein in something that tastes good. In for 1, thanks OP!

Not sure what ingredients you think aren't great besides probably "Natural Flavors", but everything else on this list seems pretty good for a packaged shelf stable food product.
