These 1.5V lithium AA rechargeables stand out for devices that want alkaline-like voltage, especially Xbox controllers, Blink cameras, smart locks, and other power-hungry gear. The included holder doubles as the charger, which makes charging simpler, and the batteries are reported to hold 1.5V longer than NiMH cells. Runtime can be strong, with some setups lasting weeks or months. The main cautions are sudden drop-off with little warning, compatibility limits with the charger and chemistry, and occasional dead or failing cells. A practical option if you need full-voltage AAs and can handle the charging quirks.
Common Questions (5)
Reported runtime varies by device, from weeks in controllers to months in smart locks and several months in a Flume leak detector. They also maintain 1.5V longer than NiMH cells, but some users report steep drop-off at the end and occasional failures after a few cycles.
They work in Blink cameras, Xbox controllers, and smart locks, and the 1.5V output helps devices that prefer alkaline-like voltage. In smart locks and controllers they can last longer than NiMH cells, but they may shut off suddenly and some devices lose low-battery warnings.
The case is meant to be charged with a 5V/3A USB-C power supply, and a lower-amp charger will still work but can take all day. A charger with more than 3A is fine as long as the voltage matches, because the device draws only what it needs.
No. These are lithium-ion AA cells with built-in electronics, so they need a charger designed for 1.5V lithium batteries; charging them in a NiMH charger can damage the cells and create a fire risk.
Yes. The set includes a holder that also functions as the charger, so the batteries charge in the case instead of needing a separate charger. That makes it easier to store and recharge the pack together.

I bought these July 2025 for $13 and they are still going strong. I have another similar style and haven't tried to cross the batteries/chargers, but this one definitely lasts longer than the other. I just use these for blink cameras and charge them at 5V-1A (pretty sure that is what the manual called for and made me question the charge rate claim) while I think the other called for 3A, all my generic batteries I'd rather do at 1A while I'm at home and aware of it charging just in case
I use similar (1.5V Lithium) batteries in my Quest controllers. When I get a low-battery warning for my controller, I have about 10 minutes left due to their steep voltage drop-off.
For this SD, the price is good but the capacity is lacking...

this is like saying i have 80 in my pocket and you have 100 in your pocket.. expect you have 100 pesos and i got 80 dollars.. unit matters, and matters a lot.
a 1.5v Li battery can certainly be discharged at 1.2V with buck converter and it can providing a much higher current drawing at 1.2V. if you try to discharge a 1.2 battery at 1.5v (with things like boost converter, your will get much less current draw. AH comparison only make sense with the voltage fixed. it is completely meaningless with voltage is not fixed. otherwise you can claim two or three of you enloop somehow is much bigger than battery found on the macbook...
Using these to power onn LED strips with USB packs for glow disc golf.
