These 1.5V lithium AA rechargeables stand out for devices that want alkaline-like voltage, especially Xbox controllers, Blink cameras, smart locks, and other power-hungry gear. The included holder doubles as the charger, which makes charging simpler, and the batteries are reported to hold 1.5V longer than NiMH cells. Runtime can be strong, with some setups lasting weeks or months. The main cautions are sudden drop-off with little warning, compatibility limits with the charger and chemistry, and occasional dead or failing cells. A practical option if you need full-voltage AAs and can handle the charging quirks.

  • These batteries can work well in Blink cameras and can last longer than disposable Energizers in some setups.

  • The included holder can function as the charger, which makes charging simpler and more convenient.

  • These batteries can maintain near-alkaline 1.5V output longer than NiMH rechargeables, which helps power higher-voltage devices.

  • These batteries can deliver stable performance in Kwikset electronic door deadbolts without battery-type error messages.

  • The charger and battery chemistry can be safety-sensitive, and using the wrong charger type or fast charging can create overheating or fire-risk concerns.

  • The batteries can cut off instantly when depleted, which can prevent low-battery warnings in devices that estimate remaining capacity from voltage.

  • Charging behavior can be slow or inconsistent when using insufficient USB-C power, which may leave batteries blinking for a long time.

  • Some batteries may fail to charge or show blinking patterns that return to "full" quickly, which can indicate a dud cell.

I pulled the trigger but then noticed the recent poor reviews, due to the fact they stopped working after only a few cycles. Not worth the hassle. Damn - was gonna use them for my Quest 3 controllers.

Going to give this a try, despite the spotty reviews. I think people are storing them in the charger while continually connected live via USB, which is usually a bad idea.

Can anyone say how these work in Xbox controllers?
my 2 cents:
I use similar (1.5V Lithium) batteries in my Quest controllers. When I get a low-battery warning for my controller, I have about 10 minutes left due to their steep voltage drop-off.

These Li-ion AA batteries are useful for Blink outdoor cams. Official they require non-rechargeable Lithium batteries but they are expensive.

The disclaimers on their listing say you can't use the charger w other batteries, and can't use a psu above 5V 3A. both aspects indicate poorly designed unsafe proprietary charger.

Not trying to train my family that they have to only use specific batteries in a specific charging case with a specific usb-c psu, or else risk a lithium fire. Hard pass.

I got these, one of the batteries was bad, customer service responded in a day and had me buy 2 more batteries then refunded me. Based on that customer service alone I'd keep buying these. Not to mention they last longer than any of the USBC li-ion batteries I've bought. 5 stars!!!

I am trying to understand why some of their batteries have a "designed for xbox" label and they appear to be cheaper. The description doesnt offer more clarity because for the pack of 8 it would say it has both 8x3000mwh and 4x6000mwh. Does anyone get it?

I'm interested in how much self discharge they have? I get Low Self Discharge (LSD) NiMh batteries like Duraloops, etc. so they can sit. I'd get these easily if they can sit for extended periods before losing much charge.

I should add to my prior comment: These are listed as mWh, not mAh (like most rechargeables), so it would be about 2000mAh (like most NiMh batteries).

Except mah is a bogus unit. It only makes sense when the voltage is the same. By itself It's not unit of energy nor power Not sure why people even using it. Except to make your number look bigger.
WH is it an actual unit of power.

Well, most rechargeables are NiCd or NiMH, so no, a lithium recharger isn't going to work with those. And if your USB-C is pushing more than 5V @ 3A at it, something is wrong w/ the USB-C port on your computer or wall-wart, not the charger: those are just the specs it was designed around. You'll see more of that now that USB-C has become default for everything, even stuff it was never intended to do, like charging a laptop w/ a 14W draw...

From the pics in the product description, it appears that the "X Box" come with a little 2-cell carrier thingy so they fit in the wireless controller properly? Probably cheaper because they're a lower mAH output, or else it's just pricing to move slow inventory because nobody bought them because they see "Specially for X Box!" and move on because they're Praystaysho! people...
