Sherwin Williams paint is still valued for solid coverage and premium lines like Emerald, but the 40 percent off sale lands against noticeably higher prices than before. Emerald and Duration are running around $60 a gallon now, with interior SuperPaint at $89 and some contractor tier ProMar around $35ish under the deal. Extra coupons can help, including $10 off $50 text offers and a $30 off $100 form coupon that stacks online or in store. The main drawback is simple, the discounts do not fully offset the price increases, so it feels best for shoppers who want Sherwin Williams specific products.
The 40% off promotion can stack with a contractor rate, which can lower the effective per-gallon price further.
A $10 off $50 coupon code can be reused for at least a second paint purchase after the first order.
Texting "color" to 27579 can link a $10 off $50 coupon for use during checkout.
A $30 off $100 coupon can be obtained via an in-store form and used for an additional discount on online stain purchases.
Sherwin-Williams pricing can rise significantly over time, and even 40% off may still feel too expensive compared with alternatives on sale.
Some paint purchases may not include the full amount, since brands can skim a few ounces, which can reduce coverage and leave insufficient paint for touch-ups.
Refund or price-adjustment requests may fail, including a reported "got screwed" outcome after buying deck paint at a discount.
Using a water-based primer on 3/4" OSB reportedly led to OSB flaking, and the store later advised switching to oil-based primer.

(is it just me, or is the Sherwin Williams logo kinda bizarre?)
Imo the worst is you don't get a full amount on some brands now. They skim a few Oz off. Those few oz adds up. Just for an example that 8 Oz sample size. I was able to do 2x coat on a whole 4 drawer dresser. So depends on your paint job. This can mean no backup paint for touch up. Worst is one area just "need a thicker coat"
Buying a gal of milk, not a gal.. Should be illegal

It worked. Did not check if I could use same code for a 3rd purchase.
