Is this for a single valve or a 5-pack? The first picture shows "5 Pack" and the price of $8.46 shows $1.69/count which sounds like a 5-pack.

5 pack. I asked and it said "Yes! The Orbit Sprinkler System 1-Inch NPT Jar Top Valve (Model 57461) is indeed a 5-pack of 1-inch valves. The listing you're viewing is the "5-Pack 1 inch" variation."

Pretty good deal. Sadly I have the Hunter brand and can't simply swap a bad one with this.

It's more effort than it's worth to change entire valves for no reason. These do, however, look like an Irritrol 2400. So a failed Irritrol, Lawn Genie, Richdel, and even a particular K Rain jar top could probably be rebuilt right in the hole with one of these.

It is NOT a 5-pack. Mine was just delivered and it is a SINGLE valve.

My own choice, but I'm returning it. I don't need one now, just thought a 5-pack would come in handy should I decide to replace a bunch of aging valves at once and $9 would have been killer!

Size of it. My box is very tight and there is no extra slack on the tubing.
