Is Darksiders Genesis worth it?

I just picked up Darksiders III - Blades & Whip Edition! $7.99 Includes all three in the trilogy. Time to run down memory lane

I really like the first one. I recommend skipping the 2nd one, just tedious and boring. I'll probably get the 3rd one.

I hated it because it's nothing like the others, it's a weird top down perspective that never gelled for me.

What?! You sure you don't have them mixed up? I've beat all the dark siders games, the 2nd is the best one.

Darksiders II is the best in the series. I would avoid III which is the worst in the series. Genesis isnt even a DS game really. I forget when it came out but it seemed like what you would get from an XBox Live Arcade game back in the 360 days. Probably worth about $4.

I found the 2nd one too long and boring. Compared to the 1st one, many levels in Darksiders 2 levels were very plain, the enemies were too repetitive, and even the story was not that good. I almost stopped playing it a few times because not much interesting was happening. I was disappointed because I really liked the first one and they stuffed the 2nd one with too much of the same to make the game longer than it needed to be. Just my opinion.

not on Xbox. They didn't optimize it so it's still stuck at 30fps. I ended up getting it on steam

Agree. Death was a cooler character, but DS1 was better and a sleeper hit. Who doesn't get chills when War says "No, not alone......" in the final cutscene!?!

Oh, my bad. These are great games at a great price.
