This 85 inch Sony Bravia 5 Mini LED TV stands out as a big screen value with strong picture quality and a free five year Costco warranty. Setup impressions are positive, and the image quality gets praise even from owners of the 65 inch version. The main tradeoff is the Android based smart software, which can feel slow, buffer during casting, and sometimes needs a restart, so an external stream box may help. Transport and in store pickup also take planning because the set is heavy and awkward to move.
The TV's picture quality impressed after setup and continued use.
Costco's included free 5-year warranty adds long-term coverage value.
The TV can be transported upright in a truck bed with careful handling.
AirPlay casting worked more smoothly than Android/Google TV casting options.
Android/Google TV performance can be sluggish, with buffering during casting and occasional restarts needed.
Transporting the 85-inch TV can be difficult because seats may not fold flat and the TV must be kept upright.
Casting from Google apps and YouTube can be unreliable, while AirPlay may be the better workaround.
In-store display handling can lead to cosmetic scratches during setup with metal stands.

PS: for this price, i wouldnt complain about the SW. I paid $1700 after an adjustment. That's plenty of savings to buy an apple tv or nvidia shield to fix those issues.
ALL TV OS SUX.... Android & WebOS being the better choice...but after a year or so the TV will start slowing down to a crawl and require a factory reset.
Buy them a Roku stick.... maybe an older model as the new ones can be bloated !!

At this price, it was worth getting a cargo van from Enterprise. Was $112 all in and they had immediate availability.
Just make sure you have something to stabilize the box from tipping over! I had to put it between the two seats and drive like grandma with a Valium prescription.
meant to quote fuzzyballs
"How the heck do people take a 85" TV home from the store? Everyone drives a box truck as their daily?"
Hauled it home upright in my truck bed. Weighs just shy of 150 Lbs including the packaging based on the spec sheet for those wondering.
